3rd Single for Mano Erina

Rather quickly, it has been announced by Mano Erina’s official blog that she will release her 3rd major single titled “Sekai wa Summer Party” It sounds like it might be another up-beat melody which is good because I liked her last single quite a lot! The arrangement this time is once again done by KAN, not too bad at all for Manoeri! The single will be released on 2009-07-29!

New Minimoni?!

Tsunku has announced on his blog that he intends to revive the long defunct Hello! Project group Minimoni. I have to say I’m a little shocked by the news and also somewhat apprehensive, Kago, Tsuji, Mika, Yaguchi and to a certain extent Takahashi are irreplacable in my eyes and I’m not sure how well this new iteration will work.
One member has been selected thus far, S/mileage and Hello! Pro Egg member Fukuda Kanon – Tsunku is still searching for the other three, predictions? Hopes? Bring back Tsuji~!

After School covers LOVE Machine

Korean girl group After School have released a cover of Morning Musume’s biggest selling single, Love Machine. The After School version is titled Dream Girl and is the theme for the M-Net / Up-Front Korean Hello! Project Auditions.
The After School version is pretty cool and was released as a downloadable digital single on 2009-05-22. The rationale behind After School singing the theme for the auditions is apparently because many hopefuls chose to sing After School songs for their audition.
You can listen to the song and view the PV on Hello! Video to the left!
Cover and Coupling for Kago’s Debut Single
Kago’s record label, indagrove has uploaded the tracklisting and cover for her upcoming single, the cover is very cool and the coupling, Children of the Night, sounds like it could be awesome!
Also, I didn’t know Kago was on the same label as DANCE MAN!
Morning Musume Rank at Weekly No.1

According to Yaguchi Mari’s blog, Morning Musume’s latest single Shouganai Yume Oibito has ranked at No.1 in the Oricon Weekly Charts! The first time since 2006 and Aruiteru!
Sales figures haven’t been released just yet though indications are pointing to quite low sales.
Morning Musume Rank No.1 in Daily Charts
Morning Musume’s newest single, Shouganai Yume Oibito, has ranked No.1 in the Daily Charts in it’s first day of sales – I’d like to see them take the weekly ranking at No.1 as well as they haven’t in over two years though this is still pretty good! Estimated sales figures for the first day seem to be somewhere around 23,000.
Kusumi Becomes an Oha-Star Regular

It was announced on Oha-Star this morning that Kusumi Koharu will now be a regular on the show for Tuesdays. This isn’t particularly exciting as such as she was on the show a lot as Tsukishima Kirari. It’s nice to see that even though her anime is over Kusumi is still being kept as a part of Oha-Suta and this certainly can’t hurt her promotion or Morning Musume’s.
Note the lovely screencap of Koharu.
