Morning Musume OG Concert Tour Announced

Big news for all the fans of the Morning Musume OG.   It’s been announced that the members of the OG/M-Line will be having a concert tour throughout Japan.  The name of concert will be “Dream Morning Musume。Concert Tour 2011 Haru no Mai 〜Sotsugyousei DE Saikessei〜”.  All members of the OG are hopefully going to be performing with the exceptions of Konno Asami due to her broadcasting job. There will be a total of  8 concerts in the tour.  The final show of this event is expected on May 29 2011.

This is huge news.  In fact, this is the first OG Concert Tour since the Elder Club Graduated from H!P.  I can’t wait to hear more about this upcoming concert.

Tsuji Nozomi is listed to perform in the tour. Konno isn’t because she is most likely leaving UFA as per the indication of several Memorial Fanclub goods.

Yup, it seems Tsuji will be able to perform, she’s gonna have to recover from her pregnancy quick though! I love Tsuji, so yay.

As for Konno, I assume she has training to do for her newscaster position on NHK.

    Iida Kaori’s Son Passes Away

It has been revealed by former Morning Musume member Iida Kaori that her son passed away due to chronic renal failure on July 27th 2008. Iida was obviously overcome by grief for quite some time and has only recently managed to make the information public.

She is due to re-enter the entertainment world on January 10th and an Elder Club concert.

Pretty tragic news. Condolences to Iida and her family.

    Hello! Project News Round-Up

Well, I go to work for 7 hours and come home and a whole lot of stuff seems to have gone down in Hello! Project land!

Firstly, Mano Erina will release her debut indie single on 2008-06-29 (next Sunday), at a handshake event, the single will retail for 800Yen. Shortly after this event the single will be available to fan-club members and sold through a few online retailers to Japan only customers so that means if you want it, you’re going to have to ask a friend in Japan to get it for you or try your luck with auction websites. The single will be called Mano Piano and will feature Mano accompanying herself on piano, a Hello! Project first I believe! Pictured above is the single cover.

In other news, Iida Kaori will return to show business from her maternity leave on July 7th to take part in an environmental event, I’m not sure if she’ll be resuming full activities after this but this her first public appearance since giving birth.

Yajima Maimi will have her own radio show entitled C-ute Yajima Maimi no I My Me <3 Maimi~ on FM PORT from 23:00 – 00:00 JST.

Tsuji Nozmi made an appearance at Nakazawa Yuko’s recent birthday concert which apparently surprised Yuko herself, Tsuji sang happy birthday and presented Nakazawa with a cake which and then proceeded to cheekily blow the candles out. This is also Tsuji’s first public appearance since giving birth.

The rumors of Goto Maki signing with Avex have intensified with UFA removing Goto’s profile from their artist database and several newspapers reporting that the official announcement of Goto’s contract with Avex will be made on 2008-06-22. Time will tell. Edit: Just read this topic, the news is too fast and too exciting for me to update constantly!!

Iida Kaori Gives Birth to Baby Boy

Iida Kaori has given birth to a baby boy on 22nd January 2008 at 10:30am. The baby weighed in at 7.9 pounds and both parents are very happy and moved by the birth 0f their first child. It’s most likely for privacy reasons that they have only chosen to release this information two weeks after, they have not released the child’s name.

    Er what?

I go away for four days and come back to find out Iida Kaori is both getting married and is ten weeks pregnant in a Tsuji-esque revelation! After the Morning Musume 10th Year Anniversary concert tour “~Summer ‘07 Thank You My Dearest~” on September 10th Kaori will take a break from her Hello! Project duties in preparation for her duties and marriage, it’s unknown if she will return to the music industry afterwords. This also means that the anniverary group’s second single could quite possibly be their last.

The PV to Morning Musume’s 34th single Onna ni Sachi Are has also been revealed which contains far too little JunJun and RinRin footage though I really like both the song and PV.

I’m not a big fan of Junx2 and Linx2 as of yet. I have to get use to them–specifically the 8th generation all together.

The song and video are dominated by Ai. I think Eri or Reina can handle more lines.

Even though Koha is pretty bad at singing (same level as Sayu) but she is improving. I like how Koha open up the video. Come on, she is an eye candy. I have no problem with Koha or Sayu opening the song because we all know the most lines they will have is 2.
