    After School covers LOVE Machine

Korean girl group After School have released a cover of Morning Musume’s biggest selling single, Love Machine. The After School version is titled Dream Girl and is the theme for the M-Net / Up-Front Korean Hello! Project Auditions.

The After School version is pretty cool and was released as a downloadable digital single on 2009-05-22. The rationale behind After School singing the theme for the auditions is apparently because many hopefuls chose to sing After School songs for their audition.

You can listen to the song and view the PV on Hello! Video to the left!

I wonder if they replaced the “Japan is the best” part with “Korea is the best”

^ I doubt it. I didn’t hear anything that sounded like that.

I was really hoping for them to say “Love Machine” in the end, but too bad that’s not the title of the song anymore.

Wah~ Good luck Kago~! Really, I am hoping she does better than C-ute and AKB48. Sorry C-ute! But I really hope this goes well with Kago. :P

Hi. I was wondering, if anyone knew how to buy that song digitally. Or is it only to Korean residents? Thank you.

Think it might be Korean exclusive I’m afraid.

    Up-Front Agency Updates Website

As all of the former Elder Club are now artists under Up-Front Agency they all have updated profile pages there now and finally Iida Kaori and Tsuji Nozomi have new artist images. Some other soloists have new artist images too – in the case of Miyoshi Erika it’s a better shot of her already existing Hello! Pro profile picture. Iida’s image was last updated in 2005 for the release of her fourth album and Tsuji’s was updated in 2007 for her solo debut. Iida’s page also mentions a special live event which will be entitled 飯田圭織スペシャルライブ2009 at フラミンゴ・ジ・アルーシャ〜Merci pour tout votre amour〜 (Iida Kaori Special Love 2009 at Flamingo the Arusha ~Merci pour tout votre amour~ and will take place on 2009-04-05. Looks like she’s still continuing the Mediterranean / European theme. Interestingly the website is divided into the following sections, i’ve listed all of the people related to Hello! Project and there are some intersting changes such as Okada Yui becoming part of Up-Front Kansai.

Notice that Fujimoto Miki, Mano Erina and Ogawa Makoto are all missing – they are managed of course by J.P.Room.

    1. Male Talent (Sharan Q, Taisei, Hatake, Makoto)
    2. Female Talent (Abe Natsumi, Iida Kaori, Ishikawa Rika, Inaba Atsuko, Ongaku Gatas, GATAS BRILLHANTES H.P., C-ute, Konno Asami, Satoda Mai, Tsuji Nozomi, Nakazawa Yuko, Berryz Koubou, Buono!, Maeda Yuki, Matsuura Aya, Miyoshi Erika, Melon Kinenbi, Morning Musume, Yaguchi Mari, Yasuda Kei, Yoshizawa Hitomi)
    3. Sporting Personalities
    4. Up-Front Sapporo (Sapporo Cerebies)
    5. Up-Front Kansai (Okada Yui, SI*NA)
    6. Hello! Project Trainees (Hello! Pro Egg)
    7. Itsuki Hiroshi Promotion

Iida Kaori, Tsuji Nozomi, Satoda Mai, Miyoshi Erika, Okada Yui

I don’t think it’s that interesting that Yui was added to H!P kansai. She’s originally from Osaka and most of the time she was teased for using osaka dialect-even in the first track on v-u-den’s only album.

It’s interesting to see an official change though.
