Wow, Tane was an amazing single. I bet with more promotion it could’ve done really well, the song was greattttttt.
@matthew, AKB48 has really risen in popularity and sales. I’m hoping MM would do the same…Nanchatte Renai is a pretty cool song, but it sounds really similar to Shouganai Yumeoibito. That could either be a plus or a minus.

@rasune7, from my point of view, i am shock. Because, i support both groups. I am happy for both of the Idol groups. Be it MM or AKB48, it does not matter. I still am a fan.
@kenny, in my heart, MM has already made history since they started out. I really wish that MM can be even better.
Cheers!

Eeh, I always thought °C-ute was a much better selling group than Berryz!
Btw.: where do you always get all these facts? I’m always interested in those =)

@muuhwi,
indeed i think °C-ute is a much selling better group. Anyways, i am still a H!P fan…so i support them all the way.
eh…i believe all the details are taken from the Oricon website, Tsunku’s blog and other websites.
I am sure the creator of this post KNOWS Japanese and English or maybe with help from someone.
Most likely he knows how to translate the Japanese words to English!
Cheers!

AKB are surely amazing whit that numbers. They’re like MM in their golden era. And looking to their (AKB48) statistics, i think their current release isn’t their maximum achievement. There will be more. But, somehow, still i would prefer tsunku’s product (which one is the best from H!P or NGP in my opinion) rather than akimoto’s.
I’ve seen so many H!P fans become AKB48 fans, but I’ve seen the opposite too. And it’s very interesting to hear their (AKB48 to H!P fans) story.

Very impressive numbers for akb48, but they only have 2 songs, seems like most of the list are HP artist. I’m glad Yaguchi Mari solo did so well, hopefully there’s more to come from her soon.

well i would consider Watarirouka Hashiritai and no3b AKB48 too aren’t they kinda like subgroups? also AKBIdoling!!! ya know

honestly, if you put everything into perspective, the immediate H!P and AKB48 have roughly the same memebers (counting Kenkyuusei and Hello! Pro Eggs), and overall H!Ps sales are higher than AKB48’s. I love both AKB48 and Hello! Project, but I think those are the main things to keep in mind when couting sales or saying ‘who beats who.’ in the end, both groups get about the same xD

WTF kago only sold like 2000 singles?!
I know alot of friends popular on myspace that have sold more then that and arent known in the industry at all!
and how is aya selling so bad?! How are they still letting her make music with this number!

what i don’t understand is Berryz DakishimeteX2 lack of sales…. it is an awesome song… the best IMHO H!P has done in the past year… i suppose it is only IMHO…
